1st Ultrasound

This is the time when everything turns out to be a reality and you actually see some alien like shape growing inside you.
I had my 1st ultrasound on my 1st doctor's visit at 8w6d on 30th Mar,2015. We saw a teeny tiny baby with identifiable head, hands and legs bud... cute isn't it? During the 1st visit and ultrasound, doctor checks for:

The Big Fat Positive!

After the wait period of 2 weeks comes the time full of anxiety, suspense and restlessness.
Thanks to the modern science that we can test pregnancy at home any time..
It was 5th Mar,2015, a day before Holi, festical of colors, I was so restless the night before that I couldn't get sound sleep. The whole night I was so much into the thought whether it would be positive or negative.

The Wait Period

Once you pass the ovulation phase, starts the wait period which seems to be a really really long time.
You will be full of imaginations and positive/ negative thoughts. Irrespective of what result you are going to see in the pregnancy test, focus on keeping yourself healthy, drink lots of water, be on a healthy diet and do a little bit work out or yoga (I always prefer yoga). You will notice PMS (PreMenstrualSyndrome) during this phase whether you conceived or not. Some of the common PMS are bloating, gas, tender breasts etc.

Ovulation & Conception - Being On Time

Once you are physically (i.e. at least 3 months of prenatal vitamins intake) and mentally ready, it's time to start trying for a baby.

It's always better to record your mensural start date for every month to be able to find out when you ovulate and increase the chances of conceiving. I always recorded my dates since years to keep track of my menstruation and no other reason. I too downloaded 2 different android apps to keep track of my cycles: "Period Calendar / Tracker" and "My Days".

Where To Start With?

Here we are, ready for the baby!
As every other new to be parent, we were clueless, what & where to start with?

Then, we started taking up things from google search and found out that a preconception visit to OB/GYN would be a better way to start. On our visit to OB/GYN, we were full of questions and curiosity ( as if we were delivering the baby on the same day LOL). For all those who are planning for a baby, it's a good start to visit an OB/GYN.

Thought For Tiny Palms & Feet Triggered

As we enter into married life, we tend to be friends with other married couples and eventually couples with kids. Slowly as life progresses, you are surrounded by a lot many friends with kids and as and when you start spending time with them, you start to feel comfortable with kids and kind of start to like them.
